Panama’s First Lady receives the AGENTS OF PEACE Campaign

On August 1, 2007, Mrs. Vivian Fernandez de Torrijos, First Lady of Panama, received the Agents of Peace Campaign in an event of “Delivery of Bonuses to Aid New Business Owners of the Ngobe Bugle region,” in the community of Quebrada Guabo.

This is an important socioeconomic work for the creation of small businesses.

The Members of the Panamanian Juvenile Association, whom are also volunteers of the Agents of Peace campaign, in coordination with the Governor of the region, Mr. Ausencio Palacio, had a very important participation in the event; they were present at the ceremony, photographs and were provided transportation to the event.

At the event, the First Lady delivered the checks to new native businessmen which will be beneficial to the native community so needed.

In representation of the Panamanian Juvenile Association, and as a volunteer Agent of Peace, Dr. Carlos Elizondo delivered to the First Lady, “Agents of Peace” campaign materials, for her and her husband, the President of the Republic of Panama, Mr. Martin Torrijos.
