AMISRAEL’s volunteers aid victims of Peru’s earthquake
An earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Ricther scale with duration of about two minutes struck at daybreak in the center and south of Peru. The earthquake was felt in Lima, where several houses fell into the center, causing panic.

The rescue teams calculated that the earthquake that rocked Peru’s coast has left at least 85,000 victims. And according to information provided by firemen volunteers to the local America Television, over 510 were killed and more than 1,500 injured.
The National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI) reported that, at the moment, a total of 16,669 homes were destroyed.
The earthquake, whose epicenter was located in the sea, at 167 kilometers south of Lima, caused a tsunami alert, and was felt in all the country, even in the neighboring nations. It also caused serious damages in the regions of Pisco, Ica, Chincha and Paracas.
AMISRAEL - The Messenger of Peace- aided the victims providing half a ton of food, clothes, water and medications to cover part of the necessities of this population.
The AGENTS OF PEACE are also developing a spiritual and psychological supportive program for the victims, to recover them from the trauma they are going through. And, with the support of the Jewish community of Peru, they continue working and collecting basic necessities for the victims.
