New Ambassador of Israel to Colombia

Israel’s new Ambassador to Colombia, Mr. Meron Reuven, officially presented copies of his credentials to the Colombian Chancellor Fernando Araújo, in the Palace of San Carlos, as an act preceding the official presentation of his credentials to President Alvaro Uribe, which will take place on September 12, 2007, in the House of Nariño.

Before coming to Colombia, Mr. Meron Reuven was the Director of Policy and Planning, MASHAV, the Center for International Cooperation of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs; he was also an Ambassador to Bolivia and Paraguay, among others.

AMISRAEL visited the new Ambassador at the Israeli Embassy in Bogota; where they held a meeting which lasted over an hour, with the intention to introduce AMISRAEL’S work undertaken in Colombia and worldwide.

AMISRAEL, through Dr. Iván Sarmiento presented the Agents of Peace campaign to the new Ambassador. Once he learned of the campaign and its positive impact upon the world, Mr. Reuven signed his name and was added to the more than 17 million Agents of Peace, worldwide.
