AMISRAEL calls for Peace in brazilian football stadiums
On Sunday, September 16, 2007, "Peace" was chanted in the Brazilian football classic match between Cruzeiro and Atlético Mineiro, at the stadium Gobernador Magalhães Pinto, better known as "Mineirao," in Belo Horizonte.

AGENTS OF PEACE present divulging the importance and necessity of a Culture of Peace

The AGENTS OF PEACE were present at the game with the purpose to divulge the importance and necessity of a Culture of Peace and non-violence in Minas’ stadiums and al Brazilian stadiums. Representatives of AMISRAEL- The Messenger of Peace, coordinated by Hudson Zanoni Martins, conducted an awareness campaign among fans.
Around 40 thousand people attended the football match between two of the greatest and famous Brazilian football teams. The spectators were able to learn of the AGENTS OF PEACE work through a banner (9 nine meters long) that was displayed to the fans around the stadium. The banner read: "PEACE IN SPORTS; PEACE IN STADIUMS; PEACE AMONG FANS; A GOAL FOR PEACE.”
This work for peace in sports is part of the project "Practicing Peace" that is affiliated to the "AGENTS OF PEACE" Campaign.
