Mexico: World Environment Day

World Environment Day was celebrated June 5th by AMISRAEL, who promoted an event in the main plaza of the Zozayita subdivision, aiding the efforts of Deputy Laura Paula Lopez Sanchez, who donated 50 Encino trees.  Teachers and students of the “Josefa Zozaya Elementary School” actively participated planting trees.  Each child received a certificate of ownership with the condition to protect their small tree.

“We have given them a certificate of adoption so that the children feel the responsibility and take care of their little tree, and in the future they will know that those trees grew with their help and their self-consciousness to protect the environment.  It is of great significance and importance the work that AMISRAEL and its Director, Dr. William Soto Santiago is undertaking due to the great responsibility that he has and the extraordinary work he is carrying out globally in favor of peace,” commented Deputy Laura Paula.

As the brigade began to work neighbors of the subdivision approached them to lend tools and offer their help as a way of thanking them for carrying out this task.

The event attracted vast media as well as Agents of Peace volunteers, children, youngsters and adults who worked throughout the day.
