Celebration of the Second Anniversary of the Agents of Peace Campaign
Paraguay celebrated the date toasting the medical assistance to the community.
The project Agents of Peace had its official start in the city of New York, United States, on 13th of September, 2006, with the event “The claim of United nations for Peace.”
AMISRAEL celebrated this date in Paraguay with an event in Ciudad del Este, at the Departamento del Alto Paraná, offering a wide range of services to the community.
In this day, several Institutions, Governmental and Non Governmental Organizations got together for Peace in the Municipal Park Ex Aeropuerto Alejo García..
Institutions Duch as the Municipalidad de Ciudad del Este, the Governmet of Alto Paraná, Tesape’a Paraguay and AMISRAEL joined forces to offer the population medical and odontological consults.
The “Farmacia Itinerante” articulated by the volunteers from the Municipalidad del Este donated medical supplies. A Vaccination Brigade was also put together to tend to children and adults, reaching a total of 170 people vaccinated in several areas.
The National Police also participated, helping to issue identity documents to all those present who didn’t have them.
The activities were closed by a special speech given by Mr. William Paras, delegate of AMIARAEL in Paraguay and the chairwoman of the Municipalidad del Este, Sandra Zacarías.
The artistic presentation had the participation of the
Ballet de la Municipalidad de Pte. Franco, performing beautiful folk dances and of the lehakat AMISRAEL Paraguay, who performed a Poutporri of Hebrew and Eastern dances.
The audience was excited and the enthusiastic environment helped to promote and spread the union of different cultures in favor of peace.
