AMISRAEL Hands a Letter to President Da Silva
Regarding the Gaza Strip conflict
AMISRAEL handed personally to Brazilian President, Mr. Luís Inácio Lula da Silva,, a letter in which it congratulates the Chief of State for his posture in conducting external policies.
Amidst the turmoil in the international scene linked not only to the economic crisis but also to the conflicts in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas, Mr. da Silva has shown, through his country’s experience how it is possible to have a harmonious coexistence between Arabs and Jews. Also, he has called upon the Brazilian people to contaminate other with the culture of peace seen here.
The manifest, which was handed by Dr. Kélita Machado during the opening ceremony of the National Encounter of New Mayors, in Brasilia, had as its main objective to ask a more pro active attitude from the President. As the natural leader of the Latin American region, it’s his duty to make it a peace landmark for the West.
