Fifth Blood Drive for Peace in Puerto Rico
March 14th, Cayey, Puerto Rico
AMISRAEL Puerto Rico celebrated the "Fifth Blood Drive for Peace in collaboration with the American Red Cross, the Municipality of Cayey and the Agents of Peace in the Hall of Fame of Sports in Cayey.
Recognizing the continuing need for blood and blood products, AMISRAEL has consistently demonstrated its ability to support and join efforts in gathering this vital liquid to fill the blood banks. The NGO called for the participation of citizens and raised awareness about the commitment to give life through voluntary donation.
Since early morning, the Agents of Peace struggled to achieve the goal set by the Red Cross. Motivated at all times by its strong initiative of saving lives, they gained the support of the community and, drop by drop, this goal was reached and even surpassed. Dozens of pints of blood were collected. "You are like family," said one of the employees of the Red Cross, referring to the commitment of love of the Agents of Peace.
Once again the Agents of Peace co-operate with the need for blood in hospitals in the country, promote their mission of peace for the nations and advance in their goal of living in a culture of peace, by meeting the pressing needs of our community.
