The New President of Paraguay is an Agent of Peace

After 48 hours of being elected by the people as the new president of the Republic of Paraguay for the period 2008-2013 and scheduled to take office on August 15, 2008, Mr. Fernando Lugo received Dr. William Paras (AMISRAEL’S Delegate of Paraguay) who on behalf of AMISRAEL congratulated him for his victory, and extended him the invitation to the Jerusalem 2008 International Conference, and the Agents of Peace project, developing in all fields of the country.
Dr. Paras addressed the importance of the conference to take place in Jerusalem, wherein the city will be hosting high-level discussions regarding the most relevant issues nowadays, and he also discussed the participation of authorities from around the world. President Lugo expressed the importance of this event and his interest in participating in it.
The newly elected President congratulated AMISRAEL for such a noble and humanitarian project. He also registered as an Agent of Peace and committed his government to an ongoing struggle for social justice, the construction of a new Paraguay, the common good and the quest for peace.
